WCOL‘s next up and coming country music star is Georgia born Thomas Rhett! His debut album It Goes Like This released at the end of 2013, sold over 200,000 copies and spawned several successful singles such as “Get Me Some of That”, “Something to Do With My Hands”, and the chart topping hit “It Goes Like This”. Following the release and success of his album, Rhett embarked upon a massive tour across the country, stopping in Columbus at The Bluestone in 2013. Rhett was recently nominated for ACM‘s New Artist of the Year, with the awards ceremony taking place in April and has made headlines with his country covers of popular Bruno Mars singles. Rhett returns to Ohio this summer for WCOL‘s Country Jam at Legend Valley to once again rock Ohio!
The two- day festival will be hosted at the historic Legend Valley Concert Venue and Campground located on Buckeye Lake, just thirty minutes east of downtown Columbus. 2015 will mark the 3rd year that WCOL Country Jam has taken place at the venue. The festival is packed with the best country music ranging from classic country and southern rock country to today’s biggest country hit-makers.
General Admission tickets are currently available. There are several camping options available to patrons. Tickets and camping passes are on-sale now and available at www.LegendValleyFestivals.com. Camping passes are sold separately.
The WCOL Country Jam is a country festival that has occurred annually for the last 10 years. In 2013, WCOL and Bluestone Promotions formed a partnership to bring the show to the Legend Valley Music Center, a historic venue located near Buckeye Lake in Thornville, Ohio. Previous years included performers Hank Williams Jr., Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan and Tim McGraw. The venue boasts acres of campgrounds and a large field with great views of the stage. Legend Valley Music Center has functioned as a music venue since the early 1970’s, but has undergone some name changes since that time. LVMC has hosted a multitude of artists including: The Charlie Daniels Band, The Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Alabama, Journey, and Jimmy Buffett.
Another WCOL Country Jam artist that is sure to impress attendees is Aaron Lewis. Raised in Massachusetts, Lewis is a founding member of the rock band Staind, collectively selling over fifteen million albums and with whom he still tours and records music with. Having performed music alone, even when in a band, Lewis began recording country music in 2010, with his first EP, Town Line, being released the following year. In 2012, he released his first full-length solo album, The Road, which featured the hit single “Grandaddy’s Gun”. Known for his passionate vocal delivery and poignant songwriting, Aaron Lewis will undoubtedly be a highlight of the festival. Music defines Chase Bryant. At every level and in often unexpected ways, his truths are expressed in melody, lyrics, hooks and sounds … but his reality goes even deeper than that. Bryant’s heritage is defined by music. His upbringing, his craft, his inspiration and his obsessions are all centered in the same – which is good – because there’s no other way to explain how a 23-year-old Texan could already be a top-flight guitar player, head-turning songwriter, RED BOW recording artist and co-producer of his debut album.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
2017 has been a breakout year for the newcomer Detroit singer/songwriter, Quinn XCII. With his ability to seamlessly blur the lines between pop, electronic, hip-hop, and soul music, he has quickly paved his own lane with his unique sound.
An early mixtape release turned heads, but it was his debut EP Change of Scenery, released in 2015, that put Quinn XCII on the map, connecting with the blogosphere and snaring millions of online streams. His follow-up EP release, Bloom, cemented his ability to meld styles and write about more varied subject matter. Next it was his featured vocals on “Kings of Summer”, a collaboration with longtime friend and producer ayokay (with whom he also exclusively worked with on his first two EPs), that started to bring him to the mainstream. The song became the sleeper summer hit of 2016, reaching #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral Charts, #1 on HypeMachine, accumulating over 65 million plays on Spotify, and getting regular spins at Top 40 radio around the country.
Quinn XCII’s debut album The Story of Us, was released on September 15 via Columbia Records. The album debuted at #6 on iTunes’ Pop Chart and is led by his standout single “Straightjacket,” which was named SoundCloud’s “Song of the Month” and has accumulated more than 23 million streams on Spotify. After selling out his entire 28-city national headline tour this Fall in support of the album, he will kick off 2018 by touring the album throughout Europe and across North America again this Spring.
