It would be an understatement to say that a lot has happened since Whiskey Myers was last in the recording studio. Over two whirlwind years, the gritty Texas band hit #1 on the iTunes Country Chart with their breakout third album ‘Early Morning Shakes,’ earned raves everywhere from Rolling Stone to USA Today, and toured the US and UK relentlessly, slaying massive festival crowds and sharing stages with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., Jamey Johnson, and more along the way. You’d be forgiven, then, for expecting things to work a little differently this time around when the band reunited with acclaimed producer Dave Cobb for their stellar new album, ‘Mud.’ But as it turns out, success doesn’t change a Southern gentleman, and they don’t come any more Southern than Whiskey Myers.

Fueled by larger-than-life performances honed tight from countless nights on the road, ‘Mud’ finds the band scaling new heights of songwriting and musicianship, with searing guitars, soulful vocals, and indelible hooks. While their approach to the music and humble, hard-working attitudes may not have altered, there have been developments in the Whiskey Myers world, most notably with the arrival of new faces. For the recording sessions, the band’s five founding members—Cody Cannon on lead vocals and guitar, Cody Tate and John Jeffers on guitars, Gary Brown on bass, and Jeff Hogg on drums—fleshed out their sound with the addition of fiddler/keyboard player Jon Knudson and percussionist Tony Kent, who are both now full-time members. “They bring a great energy, and I think it’s really helped our sound and makes the band more versatile,” explains Cannon. “There’s less room onstage now, but sometimes a family grows.”

Houser503x (2)Country singer and songwriter Randy Houser was born and raised in Lake, Mississippi, where his love of music was apparent even as a young child. Houser started fronting bands when he was around 13 years old, and continued playing local gigs all the way through high school. While attending East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi, he realized playing music had its financial rewards as well, and he began working on his songwriting. He also formed 10lb. Biscuit, and the band was well received on the local circuit.

Houser relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 2002, and landed a song publishing deal. One of his songs, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” became a big hit for Trace Adkins in 2005, and he also wrote tunes for Justin Moore, John Michael Montgomery, Jessie James, and many more. Houser began concentrating more on the performing side of things and started playing more local gigs, which eventually led to a record deal with Universal Records South. The label released his debut single, “Anything Goes,” written by Brice Long and John Wayne Wiggins, in May of 2008, followed later in the year by a debut album, named for the first single. Thanks to the Top Ten country single “Boots On,” the album performed well, peaking at 21 on the Billboard Country Albums chart, and Houser returned in 2010 with his second album, They Call Me Cadillac. The album peaked at eight on the Billboard Country Albums chart but none of the record’s singles turned into hits, nor did the non-LP “I’m All About It.”

After They Call Me Cadillac, Houser left Show Dog/Universal and signed with Stoney Creek Records, releasing How Country Feels in January of 2013. The title track became a hit single that topped out at number one on the Country Airplay chart, and How Country Feels produced three more singles, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” “Goodnight Kiss,” and “Like a Cowboy,” the latter peaking at number five on the Country Singles chart. In 2015, Houser toured extensively as Luke Bryan’s opening act and dropped a new single, “We Went,” in anticipation of Fired Up, Houser’s second album for Stoney Creek. Fired Up saw release in March 2016. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi

With an inimitable voice the New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up five consecutive country radio hits and over five million singles sales after shifting record labels to Stoney Creek Records. He topped the charts with the “How Country Feels,” Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” ͞”Goodnight Kiss,” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter), “We Went,” and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.”  Houser has spent the majority of 2017 in the studio consumed by his much anticipated new project while also being tapped to perform at major country music festivals. For more information, visit www.RandyHouser.com or follow on  Twitter/Instagram @RandyHouser and www.Facebook.com/RandyHouser.

Country Music’s Aaron Lewis comes to the parking lot of The Bluestone at 583 East Broad Street Columbus, Ohio July 2, 2022. Tickets for the events will go on sale Friday, February 4th at 10 AM. Aaron Lewis has played The Bluestone many times since 2012. This show is expected to sell out quickly like years before. The larger crowd, outdoors with food and brew. Come celebrate Independence day with Aaron Lewis and more artists to be announced. A day of fun, patriotism, and most of all Music!

Aaron Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country 8-tracks. Those roots inspired the multi-platinum frontman and founder of Staind to return to his origins and since has quietly made an impact on country music without flexing to let everyone know what a big deal he is. With a decade invested in a genre that’s seen him record with George Jones, Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, Mickey Raphael, the Cox Family, Ben Haggard, Dan Tyminski, and producer Buddy Cannon, he has claimed two #1 Billboard Country Album debuts for his albums Town Line and Sinner. Lewis’ single “Am I The Only One,” debuted on Billboard’s #1 Hot Country Song,” only the time a debut has topped the chart since 1958. The hard-touring, workingman’s star’s latest album Frayed at Both Ends was released in January of 2022, his most personal and unplugged work.
