Clayton Anderson

It all started with fun-fetti cake and karaoke birthday parties. Every year, Clayton Anderson wanted the same thing and insisted that his little sister do it also.

In college, Clayton decided to learn guitar because he thought it’d impress the ladies. Next thing he knew, he and his friends were playing local parties and bars. After he graduated, he won Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star Competition. It was the boost of confidence he needed to leave his job at a mortgage company and move to Nashville.

Clayton’s first record in 2011, Torn Jeans & Tailgates climbed to #12 on the iTunes Country Chart, situating itself next to household names like Zac Brown, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton.

Clayton has been traveling across the country playing backrooms, side stages, and honky tonks from Michigan to Florida, each time gaining a few more fans and a better foothold on areas that aren’t traditional country strongholds. He’s opened for some of country’s biggest stars, the likes of Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Darius Rucker and even Mr. Party himself, Jimmy Buffett.

Even though he now spends most of his time on the road, Clayton makes a point to stay tied to home. He still keeps an Indiana phone number so his grandmother can call him, and he made sure he was home for the birth of his first niece.

Clayton writes and sings what he knows. He grew up in Bedford, a small town in southern Indiana. Clayton spent his summer days on Lake Monroe. He loved the Colts before they were good. Clayton pulls a lot of his musical inspiration from his home state’s pool of legends: John Mellencamp, Michael Jackson, John Hiatt, David Lee Roth, and Axl Rose.

Clayton knows he’s been very blessed. He says his success has been thanks to his supportive family, friends and incredible fans. His journey, like most, has been full of ups and downs, but he plans to always remember those who helped him along the way.

This new album is very personal for Clayton. He wrote or co-wrote almost all the songs on this project.  Each track marks a different moment in his journey to “Right Where I Belong.”

Chris Cavanaugh

Chris Cavanaugh picked up the guitar when he was 12 years old and hasn’t set it down since.  Not long after he started playing, with just a few chords and a song, Chris performed in the talent show at his middle school.  When the song was over, everybody rose to their feet, and from that point on Chris knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life…

Cavanaugh grew up listening to Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Brooks & Dunn. This influence and his love for music had Cavanaugh making the trip from his hometown of Springfield, Missouri to Tennessee just a few months after graduating high school. After spending a few years hanging out with writers and publishers he had no doubt that he wanted to make Tennessee his home. Shortly after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University Chris signed his first songwriting deal. Over the next few years Chris spent his time on music row honing his craft as a writer.  During this time however, he says, “I always knew that deep down my ultimate passion was playing and performing, so I eventually had to get out and do something about it…I had to get on the road.” And so he did…

As of recently you can find Chris playing with his band throughout Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. When asked about his career so far, and the path he has taken to get to where he is, Chris says, “I think everything happens for a reason and I believe the time I spent in Nashville digging in and learning how to write songs has built a platform for me and a body of work that I’ve been able to draw from when I go out on the road to play. I think if it’d happened any other way I wouldn’t have these songs…”

Chris Cavanaugh is making music about the land he’s from, writing about the people he knew, and playing for the people he knows. Chris did not wait for a record label to tell him what they think of his music. He’s taking that straight to the beer drinkers, farmers, housewives, and college kids and letting THEM decide. In the last year alone Cavanaugh has opened shows for Thompson Square, Lee Brice, Montgomery Gentry, and Eric Church.  People are hearing Chris’ music, connecting to it, and believing…

Carter Winter

Ohio’s own Carter Winter is becoming one of the most sought after talents in the Midwest and is gaining national recognition along the way. Known for his true natural country vocal tone, a creative writing style and an incredible work ethic, Carter is definitely an artist to watch. Carter is humbled and appreciative of all of his support as the number of his fans grows after each show. He has played with a number of major label artists, including most recently a sold out Rhett, White, and Blue show with 4,000+ Attendees. When asked, “What do you want out of music, what do you want from a career?” He said, “I want to make people dance, I want to make a difference and most of all I want people to enjoy themselves.” We have no doubt he will do just that! Notable Performances Carter Winter has packed the house of many local bars and venues as well as in many other states. Notably, Carter has played a show at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe. Carter has been support for a number of major label acts at sold out concert venues including most recently, a show with Thomas Rhett, The Cadillac Three and The Swon Brothers. Other names include – Easton CorbinJana KramerFrankie Ballard, and Brett Eldredge!

Tracy Lawrence began writing music when he was just four years old.  After growing up and attending college in Arkansas, Lawrence moved to Nashville where he began performing at local clubs, eventually catching his big break and being signed to Atlantic Records.  Since then, Lawrence has been one of country music’s highest selling artists, releasing nine records and continuing to tour across the US for over 20 years.  With 13 million albums sold, 18 number one songs on the Billboard Country chart, this ACM and CMA award winning artist is sure to make The Bluestone his next conquered audience!

Drew Baldridge

With a voice as rich as the mid-western soil he was raised on, Patoka, IL native, Drew Baldridge’s music reflects small town life while living large on the simple things. Drew’s music is the soundtrack to life, be if a rowdy Friday night or a peaceful Sunday morning. His songs and performances transport listeners to their favorite memories all while making new ones. He has shared the stage with artist’s such as Alabama, Phil Vassar, Montgomery Gentry, and Justin Moore to name a few.

DAVID ADAMS BYRNES

Sherwood, Arkansas native David Adam Byrnes is rooted in the kind of tradition that audiences can’t deny. It’s in the 27-year-old’s genuine southern drawl, his natural gravitation toward a loud, rowdy honky-tonk stage – it’s in the unmistakable sincerity of his lyrics. With strong pride for his country and a loving devotion to his family, this good ole’ boy from The Natural State is just that – natural – and is poised to make a lasting impression on country music. Byrnes heard the call of Music City as a teenager and as the aspiring star’s work fruition arose on graduation day, Byrnes opened for one of the world’s honky-tonk masters, Hank Williams Jr., which inevitably mapped-out and fueled Byrnes’ journey to Nashville, Tennessee.

Soon after arriving, Byrnes’ talents landed him his first publishing/artist deal with Better AngelsMusic Group and led to the young star’s debut launch of his full-length album, Premium Country. The record’s flirtatious lead-off single, “Sweet Distraction” (Josh Thompson/Andi Zack), was released in late 2010 to select digital outlets and ranks as the highest charting debut indie single of 2010(Country Breakout Chart).

Fast-forward to 2015 and Byrnes’ devotion to his craft is as razor-sharp as ever. A staple of the JägerTour, he’s already opened for Chris Young, Mark Chesnutt, David Nail, Colt Ford, Justin Moore, DustinLynch, Outshyne and Thompson Square. Working hand in hand with manager Billy Holland, and some of Nashville’s finest songwriting talent.

CMA and Grammy award-winning country band, The Charlie Daniels Band, will perform live at The Bluestone on Thursday, April 30th, 2015.  Charlie Daniels Concert Tickets are available online at www.liveatthebluestone.com for just $40.00 in advance and $45.00 day of show.  Doors for the show will open at 7pm, this is an all ages event.

Charlie Daniels, born and raised in North Carolina, began playing the fiddle and guitar in several bands throughout his young adult life.  At the age of 21 he decided to pursue a professional career in music.  Daniels assembled his first rock and roll group named, The Jaguars.  There was very little success with The Jaguars but Daniels continued to write songs including,   One of “It Hurts Me”, which was recorded by Elvis Presley in 1963. In the late 60’s Daniels opted out of The Jaguars and after much practice, became one of the best fiddlers in Nashville, TN.  He would focus his fiddle playing on the current day hits, including a lot of top songs from Bob Dylan, his popularity soared.

Mid 70’s was the year for his new band, The Charlie Daniels Band.  After a run with the Southern Rock style, Charlie then decided to lean more towards a country music band, ultimately it was a career changing choice.  Shortly after this decision, the single, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, was released.  It went straight to the number one spot and crossed over on to the pop charts at a number three spot.  This song was named the Country Music Association’s Single of the Year.  After this hit was released, their next album, Million Mile Reflections, became a multi-platinum success.

Tracy Lawrence

Tracy Lawrence

In 1994, Lawrence contributed the Top Ten hit “Renegades, Rebels and Rogues” to the soundtrack of the movie version of Maverick and also released his third album, I See It Now. “Texas Tornado” became his sixth number one hit, and three more singles — the title track, “As Any Fool Can See,” and “If the World Had a Front Porch” — all went to number two. Somewhat lost in all the success was Lawrence‘s arrest that same year on a weapons charge, but it didn’t slow his career momentum at all. He tossed off the Live and Unplugged set in 1995, which compiled acoustic tracks and concert performances with his backing band Little Elvis. In 1996, he returned with the proper follow-up album Time Marches On. The title track was a huge hit, topping the country charts, and “If You Love Me,” “Stars Over Texas,” and “Is That a Tear” all went Top Five. His hit streak continued with 1997’s The Coast Is Clear, which contained two more Top Five singles in the title track and “Better Man, Better Off.”

Carter Winter

Hometown native Carter Winter will headline our stage on January 21, 2023

With a rich baritone voice and a talent for crafting engaging lyrical stories, singer/songwriter Carter Winter is quickly becoming established as one of the most brilliant new singer/songwriters in country music.

His passion for touring the country and meeting fans has put him on stages coast to coast, where inspiration can strike at any time. The passion for each song he writes is what ultimately drives him to be even better, saying “each song is its own piece of art.”

“Higher on You,” Winter’s latest work of art, is a brand new song co-written with label mate Sam Grow and hit songwriter Taylor Phillips. The single’s artwork — a whimsical hand-drawn self-portrait — reveals yet another dimension of Winter’s artistry not as well known.

“With every new song and project I create, I feel like I get closer to my sound and who I am as an artist,” commented Winter. “This song is such a good vibe, it’s different yet familiar and I’ve never been more excited for a single release!”

The song is the first new music released by Winter following his Average Joes Entertainment debut album, “Temptation,” released to critical acclaim in late 2018. Produced by Grammy award-winning producer, Chad Carlson, the album yielded the hit song and video, “Skylines,” which was added to rotation on CMT Music.

The Ohio native’s first EP, “Some Kind of Fire,” was released in 2015, and was followed by 2016’s “The Whiskey In Me.” Winter is currently writing and recording songs for his next album scheduled for release in late 2020.

Called “country music’s modern traditionalist,” Carter Winter connects with an audience through a fresh sound that like Carter himself, is surprisingly familiar, yet raw and honest. Winter has been influenced by living a life on the edge, but having the wherewithal to share life’s ups and downs through songs. As a creative talent, he has always been compelled to do what he does, even if there’s no fallback option. When it’s all said and done, the challenges are what makes the music stand out, on its own perch.
