This year’s WCOL Country Jam headliner is none other than country megastar Eric Church! Born and raised in North Carolina, Church began playing music at the age of 13 and performing at local bars and clubs around his hometown. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in business, Church and his then fiance separated, which sent Church to Nashville to pursue his career in country music.

After being signed on to Capital Records in 2006,  Church released his first album, Sinners like Me, which included his debut single and Top 20 hit, “How ‘Bout’ You”. In 2009, Church followed up his successful first album with his second, Carolina. After the release, Church broke into the Top 10 charts with songs, “Love Your Love the Most” and “Hell on a Heart”. With no hesitation, Church continued to climb the charts with new releases such as “Smoke a Little Smoke” in 2010 and ultimately scored his first number one hit with song, “Drink In My Hand”. Church has released 5 albums since his debut in 2006 with his latest titled, The Outsiders, in 2014. With multiple hits and awards including Album of The Year, Church has grown his fan base, dubbed the Church Choir, and sold out arenas all over the nation. Nashville Country Duo, Love and Theft, is the next group set to bring their rocking country to Legend Valley and WCOL Country Jam! Beginning originally as a trio, Love and Theft consisted of members Brian Bandas, Eric Gunderson and Stephen Barker Liles. After supporting Taylor Swift on a nationwide tour and signing to a local Nashville record label in 2008, they released their debut album World Wide Open in 2009, which contained the Top 10 charting single, “Runaway”. With 2011 came the departure of Bandas from the band, and the release of their promotional single, “Angel Eyes”. Their sophomore, self-titled album was released in Summer 2012, and “Angel Eyes” topped the country charts shortly thereafter. With several singles released since, numerous award nominations, and their third album titled Whiskey On My Breath set for release in February 2015, Love and Theft are yet another act not to be missed on the lineup for Country Jam 2015!

WCOL Country Jam band, The Cadillac Three, is a country music trio out of Nashville, TN consisting of members Jaren Johnston, Kelby Ray and Neil Mason. Mixing contemporary country music with classic southern rock, The Cadillac Three have managed to become stars in their own right with the huge single, “The South”, featuring guest vocals from Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli. Johnston has also co-written songs for artists such as Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Jake Owen. Since the release of the “The South”, the trio has released two more singles and their debut album Tennessee Mojo. They have also performed on ABC’s hit program Nashville. The Cadillac Three have visited Ohio frequently over the past year, including a stop at The Bluestone in February 2015. Undeniably talented and endlessly entertaining, this trio is sure to ignite the crowd at this year’s Country Jam!

Mark Chesnutt is WCOL’s next storied country music vet joining us at this year’s Country Jam! Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Chesnutt dropped out of high school after his sophomore year, opting instead to tour and perform country music with his father throughout southern Texas. Chesnutt’s father took him to Nashville at the age of 17 to begin recording music, and over the next decade Chesnutt released music on independent labels, garnering local support and popularity. Chesnutt broke into the mainstream in 1990 with the release of his first major label release Too Cold at Home, which contained five top-ten songs, including the number one hit, “Brother Jukebox”. Since his debut, Chesnutt has released thirteen studio albums, three of which selling Platinum, seven more number one hits, and a slew of other popular charting singles over a storied quarter century career. Chesnutt’s latest release is 2010’s Outlaw, a cover album paying tribute to his inspirations and influences. A true country music legend in every sense, Country Jam is proud to bring him to Legend Valley for another incredible weekend!

Who is Gramatik?

Mixing that electro thump with the sample-heavy boom-bap of hip-hop, DJ/producer Gramatik was born in Portoroz, Slovenia, but he always seemed bound for Brooklyn. It was an older sister with a large cassette collection who turned the young Gramatik on to tapes of funk, jazz, R&B, and other genres that naturally lent themselves to dancefloors. By the time he was 13, he was making beats on his PC, and by the time he was in his late teens, his productions had earned him a loyal fan base and, eventually, the attention of the Colorado-based Pretty Lights. The like-minded producer signed to Gramatik to his Web label, also dubbed Pretty Lights, and released his Beatz & Pieces, Vol. 1 album in 2011. The#DigitalFreedom EP followed in 2012 along with Gramatik’s new apartment in Brooklyn

Outshyne is a country band who hales from South Carolina. Their music has a country feel with rock overtones. Originally formed in 2007, of high school friends playing after work. In 2010 they turned their passion for music into a full time endeavor, doing 150-180 dates a year. Since then their success keeps growing!

They have opened for country music superstars including, Jake Owen, Eric Church, Lee Brice, Colt Ford, Joe Nichols, Gary Allen, and Justin Moore to name a few, Waylon sang the National Anthem at the Nascar Sprint Cup in Darlington, SC in 2013, raised over $130,000 for Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and played on the Hard Rock stage for CMA Fest.

Their first single “Dirt Road Romance“, written by friends Florida Georgia Line and Albis Albritton, went to #29 on the Music Row Chart and #46 on the Billboard Indicator Chart. The album titled “Starting Over” was produced by Grammy nominated Chip Matthews and hit song writer Jeffrey Steele, and debuted #11 on iTunes the day it was released.

The bands second single “Moonlight Crush” is currently at #24 on the Music Row Chart and #40 on the Billboard Indicator, and is being played on Sirius/XM “the Highway”. The two singles combined have over 100,000 downloads and over 1 million youtube views.

In January, 2014, Outshyne signed with Sony Red, and are featured on CMT’s website.

Ask Chris Cagle what’s most important to him and you can bet he’ll answer this way: “Family, ranch, music. That’s it.” This response is seemingly simple for a man whose professional credits include two gold albums, two No. 1 albums and 12 charted songs. From 2000-2008, Cagle released an almost nonstop catalog of hits that resulted in a scorching hot career. Cagle’s musical character and burning ambition never wavered but today, Cagle’s personal perspective has mellowed. 2012′s forthcoming album is, in more ways than one, a new lease on life.

Born in DeRidder, La., and raised “all over,” Chris set off for Nashville after trying his hand at college in Texas and finding the pull to pursue music too strong to ignore. Like many young artists, he spent several years working odd jobs in Nashville and scraping up enough cash to record four original songs for a demo tape. Thanks to a couple of chance meetings and the opportunity to be heard by Scott Hendricks, Chris was signed to Virgin Records in 2000 – that first album featured the unaltered version of his demo songs. Chris quickly earned critical and commercial success and attracted a legion of fans that included industry heavyweights and country fans alike.
