Alive Concert Series Ad

Those of you who have attended a concert at The Bluestone know it’s a truly dynamic, unmatched concert-going experience. With state-of-the-art light and sound, top-notch acoustics, a loft VIP section, seven bars, and more great perks, The Bluestone has become Columbus’ most unique event space. If the Grand Ole Opry is considered the “Mother Church” of country music, then The Bluestone is “The Other Church” of country music. Recently, The Bluestone, 92.3 WCOL, and Miller Lite have teamed up to bring you a stunning concert series this Fall: The WCOL Miller Lite Concert Series at The Bluestone! Established, as well as up-and-coming national country acts will perform on The Bluestone stage as part of this series, which begins on Friday, September 27th with country-rock band Parmalee. Read on for more info on the bands that will be entertaining you at The Bluestone in the coming months, and watch their latest music videos!

Parmalee

Named for the North Carolina town in which these country-rockers grew up, Parmalee is set to take the country world by storm, with their hit single “Carolina” climbing the country charts steadily over the past few months. The single has now sold over 200,000 digital copies to date. “Carolina” is the follow up to the Country quartet’s debut Top 40 hit, “Musta Had A Good Time.” Watch Parmalee’s high-energy, party-startin’ performance on Friday, Sept. 27th. Clare Dunn and Bootleg Whiskey Band will open the show.

Craig Campbell

Craig Campbell is a Georgia born, Nashville-based singer, who released his second studio album, Never Regret, in 2012. Campbell’s new album, Never Regret, which includes the hit single, “Outta My Head,” solidifies Campbell’s standing as country music’s hippest neo-traditionalist, a niche he’d already begun to carve out with his critically-acclaimed, self-titled 2011 debut album. Ryan Kinder will open the show on Friday, October 11th!

David Nail

David Nail’s voice is a breath of fresh air in the current pop-country landscape. Nail posesses the rare gifts of natural melody and soul. In May, Nail released “Whatever She’s Got,” the debut single off Nail’s forthcoming 2014 album. David also received an Academy of Country Music nomination for Single Record of the Year for “Red Light.” Furthermore, Nail scored a Grammy nomination for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for “Turning Home.” David’s penchant for sophisticated melodies and lyrical work is demonstrated in every song. Check out his new music video for “Whatever She’s Got,” and watch him perform it live on Thursday, November 7th. Talented country newcomers Brothers Osborne will open.

Love and Theft

A truly dynamic duo—part sensitive, part mischievous, all talent. Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson continue to create solid, catchy country hits. The RCA Nashville duo– whose current single “If You Ever Get Lonely” is currently out at country radio– took the country charts by storm with their No. 1, platinum-certified hit “Angel Eyes.” A true live band, the duo has toured with country superstars Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Jake Owen and most recently, Tim McGraw. Their self-titled album set the duo apart with People naming the duo “Nashville’s answer to Hall & Oates.” With a renewed emphasis on organic sounds, the album has brought Love and Theft closer to what it set out to be: a band that writes, records, and performs honest, soulful country music. Rowdy country boys Blackjack Billy and local favorite Canaan Smith will open their show on Wednesday, November 20th.

Joe Nichols

Joe Nichols has released seven studio albums, and will release his eighth album, titled Crickets, on October 8th, 2013. Nichols has produced fourteen Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including his most recent hit, “Sunny and 75.” Joe Nichols continues to prove how relevant country music can be. From his debut album to now, Nichols has established himself as a solid neo-traditionalist who could balance message songs with aching ballads and breezy, playful tunes that evoke a sly smile. He not only drew the praise of critics and fans of old-school country music, but he gathered a wide array of fans across the board who love his authenticity and genuine talent. Hear Joe along with the very talented Matt Mason on Friday, November 22nd.
